University of Port-Harcourt, UNIPORT Diploma in Law admission form is now on sale for the 2017/2018 academic session.

This is to inform the general public that sale of Application Forms for admission into UNIPORT Diploma in Law of the College of Continuing Education, University of Port Harcourt for the 2017/2018 academic session session has commenced.


Duration of Programme

The Diploma in Law Programme is a Continuing Education Programme and will run for two academic sessions; each session divided into two semesters.  Students having no more than five courses to repeat or clear at the end of the second year will be   allowed a maximum of one additional academic session to do so, bringing the maximum duration of the programme to three academic sessions (six semesters).

Entry Requirements

Candidates must have Ordinary Level Credit passes in at least four subjects, including English Language in the WASSC/SSCE/NECO/GCE, obtained at not ore than two sittings.


  1. Application for UNIPORT Diploma in Law Programme is on-line. Log on to and click on Application Procedure in CCE; click on “Register”, sign up and print payment slip.
  2. Proceed to any of the designated banks to make payment of (N11,000.00) only, excluding Bank charges and obtain an eTranzact receipt.

Login back to your account and verify your payment using the confirmation order number on the eTranzact receipt, fill in the necessary information, upload your passport on the photograph and print your photo card.

WARNING: Do not go to the bank to pay your application fees without printing your payment slip online. Payments should be made for the Payment Slip Number on your payment slip. Do not make payment for any other number.

This Is To Inform The General Public That The Registration For The Private WASSCE (WAEC GCE) Has Been Re-opened For Ghanian from 1st to 15th of August while Nigeria Deadline is Also 11th of August.

This was revealed in a short notice published by WAEC today, which goes like this;


The West African Examinations Council will re-open registration for WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2017 from 1st to 15th August, 2017 for the benefit of candidates who could not register during the regular period.
Prospective candidates should report at WAEC accredited café operators for registration.
Candidates registering during the period will be allocated examination centres in the REGIONAL CAPITALS ONLY. Other terms and conditions apply.

UNILORIN 2nd Semester Exam Details 2016/2017

University of Ilorin, UNILORIN 2nd Semester Exam Details 2016/2017 – The 2016/2017 (2nd) Semester Examinations will commence on Monday, 24th July, 2017 and come to an end on Saturday, 14th August, 2017.  It has therefore become necessary that adequate preparations for smooth and hitch-free examinations are put in place.

To this end, students are hereby advised to note the code of conduct on examination malpractices as contained on pages 72 and 73 in the University Academic Programmes (Undergraduate and Sub-Degree 2009-2013) Rules and Regulations and Students Handbook of Information and Regulations, pages 19-23 which are reproduced here below:

Candidates shall:

  1. use or consult during an examination only such books, papers, instruments or other materials or aids are specifically permitted or provided by the Department in which the examination is being held;
  2. not introduction or attempt to introduce into the examination venue handbags, books notes, instruments (handsets, i-pod, Bluetooth, flash drives, etc.) or other materials or aids that are not permitted;
  3. not enter any examination venue with any inscription on any part of the body e.g. palm, arm, thigh, etc. If such inscriptions bear any relevance to the examination;
  4. not pass or attempt to pass any information from one person to another during an examination.
  5. neither act in collusion with any other candidate(s) or person(s) nor copy nor attempt to copy from another candidate, nor engage in any similar activity;
  6. not disturb or distract any other candidate(s) during the examination;
  7. only use their matriculation number for examination, (no names should be written);
  8. not be allowed to leave an examination venue until after 75% of the time allocated for that particular paper has expired;
  9. use of mobile sets 1-pods, etc are prohibited and any hand set discovered in and around the examination hall would be impounded, irrespective of it being switched off.

Students will be required to present the following vital documents at the entrance of the examination hall before He/She would be allowed into the hall:

  1. duly signed original registration forms (not copies) and no registration form with any form of alteration without proper endorsement by the Level Adviser and Faculty Officer would be acceptedUniversity Identity-Card
  2. evidence of payment of approved charges/levies

It is advisable that students who have misplaced their I.D. Cards should make request for a replacement urgently.

The Institute of Natural Resources, Environment and Sustainable Development (INRES) is a multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence established in 2011 with a grant by the MacArthur Foundation, Chicago, USA. INRES also collaborates with Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA) which provides support through the Nigerian Technical Cooperation Fund (NTCF) and African Development Bank (AfDB) for capacity building of African Students.

Admission into the programme is open to first degree graduates in Science, Geography/Environmental   Science,

Engineering, Health Sciences and related disciplines who possess minimum of Second Class Honours, Lower Division (with minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale and 2.40 on a 4-point scale). Candidates for the PhD Programme should have M.Sc Degree with minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5-point scale. The PGD candidates should possess Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree with at least Third Class Honours. HND candidates with at least Upper Credit are also eligible to apply.


The duration of the PGD and MSc Programmes for fulltime students is 12 calendar months. All programmes are modular and full time. In certain exceptional instances arrangement for Part-Time may be considered.

All routine laboratory investigations and immunization for the purpose of student entrance medical examination are to be done from home by all new students as well as returning students who are yet to complete their medical registration.

Beware of Scam: LASU Postgraduate Admission Fraud Alert!

State University of Lagos, LASU postgraduate admission “fraud alert”. Beware of scams present themselves online as employees of LASU and fraud potential applicants for post-graduate students and the General public.

The attention of the Lagos state University management has been drawn to the fraudulent activities of a person by the name of Dr. KALEJAIYE, who was posing as an official from the University in order to deceive members of the public who are interested in purchasing LASU postgraduate program is currently for sale.

Findings revealed that the said Dr KALEJAIYE, claiming to be a LASU Staff, has been calling prospective Postgraduate candidates to pay the sum of =N=33,000.00 into his account to help them purchase LASU Postgraduate form scratch card. It was also discovered that the phone numbers with which he calls the unsuspecting applicants; 09091309963 and 08058107060 are registered as Dr Kalejaiye LASU and Dr Kalejaiye PG School, UI, respectively.
